Description

The PHOTOVOLTAIC-TEST FTV500 is a portable instrument designed to meet all the needs of technicians and professionals involved in commissioning, inspection and maintenance of photovoltaic systems.
This instrument measures and analyses all the parameters and characteristics of single or three-phase systems (3 DC current clamps + 3 AC current clamps), in compliance with the applicable international standards. The Photovoltaic-test ftv500's large data storage capacity, data recording function and remote control using Virtual Network Computing (VNC) technology, make it a portable on-site instrument providing a comprehensive system for your scheduled maintenance campaigns.

EFFICIENCY, PERFORMANCE AND DATA LOGGER
(IEC 62446)
It offers 3 DC current and voltage inputs and 3 AC current and voltage inputs for detailed measurements on the whole photovoltaic installation. It measures DC/AC conversion efficiency, the active and theoretical power values and the phasor diagram at the outputs from the converter. Each parameter is correlated with the irradiation quantities, the ambient temperature and the panel temperature, which are measured with the remote control unit. The results are then compared with the regulatory reference values.

I-V CURVE, I-V QUICK CHECK (IEC 62446, IEC 60891 )
The FTV500 analyses the I-V curve and the characteristics of the panels and/or strings up to 1,000 V and 20 A and compares them with the STC reference values indicated by the manufacturer.
The instrument uses a 4P connection to manage the measurement autonomously and quickly display:
- the graphic showing the characteristic curves (voltage/current/power),
- the main parameters
- the comparison of the measurement results with the STC values, which are taken from an internal database in the photovoltaic modules

This database is updated by the users, who can then integrate the manufacturer specifications for the panels that they wish to add and test.. A quick test function is available: measurement of the open-circuit voltage and the short-circuit current of individual panels or strings in parallel.


INSULATION RESISTANCE / CONTINUITY (IEC 62446, IEC 61557)
This measurement can be used to check the electrical safety of the photovoltaic system (module, string or entire system). The FTV500 measures the insulation resistance without a current flowing (megohmmeter), or even on installations in operation (live), without needing an external switch to short-circuit the positive and negative poles.
By selecting the test voltage (250-500-1,000 VDC) and programming a PASS-FAIL threshold alarm for the results, you can obtain an immediate result. The continuity check on the protective conductors by means of a 200 mA current complies with the requirements of the international standards.

REMOTE CONTROL, WIFI & VNC TECHNOLOGY, TEST REPORTS
PHOTOVOLTAIC-TEST FTV500 is the first portable multifunction unit equipped with VNC (Virtual Network Computing) technology. It allows remote control and management of all the measurement functions directly from your smartphone / PC / tablet.
When used with Wifi transmission, it is the ideal solution for remote assistance or for supporting technicians in the field from your office.
The instrument's large memory means you can record more than 10,000 measurements and immediately create reports with a single click. With a USB drive, it is possible to download and give access to the database.

REMOTE UNIT
The remote unit of the PHOTOVOLTAIC TEST FTV500 collects the readings of the environmental parameters (irradiation, ambient / module temperature) in real time and then uses them to analyse the results. Thanks to Wifi technology, the remote unit seamlessly transmits the data to the instrument at a distance of up to 200 m in open field conditions and, if the transmission signal is interrupted, it enables the instrument to function as a data logger and store the acquired measurements before resynchronizing and transmitting them to the instrument when the conditions return to normal. A patented mounting system offers installation stability and measurement reliability.
